At WestClair Dental, our friendly and caring staff are committed to supporting your oral health and achieving an aesthetically flattering smile. We are constantly improving our technical skills and upgrading technologies.
We believe in educating and encouraging our patients to become more proactive in maintaining a lifetime of oral health. We understand that the foundation for optimum oral health is based upon a healthy dentist/patient partnership encompassing mutual trust, respect, understanding and support.
Dr. Yan Weizblit
Dr. Weizblit graduated from the Schulich School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario in 2010. He also holds an Applied Science and Engineering degree from the University of Toronto. Having worked as an engineer for 7 years in the Aerospace and Electronics manufacturing industries prior to attending dental school, Dr. Weizblit has a strong technical aptitude and a keen eye for the technical aspects of the dentistry he provides. Dr. Weizblit regularly attends courses to keep abreast of the latest techniques and technologies in dentistry to ensure patients receive the best possible care.Outside work, Dr. Weizblit enjoys spending time with his family, engage in various sports activities, and walk his dog – Bob.
Nicole Laing
Nicole graduated from Niagara College in 2000 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and has been working in private practice ever since. She is a member of the Ontario Dental Hygienist Association and is in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends hiking and being outdoors.
Riya Thaker
Riya graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in June 2019 from Confederation College, Thunder Bay. She has been with WestClair Dental since July 2019. She was born and raised in India and moved to Canada in January 2016 to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. Riya is very friendly and has always been passionate about helping others. She takes great joy in meeting new people and loves being a dental hygienist.
Afsaneh Kashani
Afsaneh joined our team as a Dental Assistant in May 2019. She was born and raised in Iran, where she earned her doctoral degree in Dentistry. She attended George Brown College to complete a Radiography course. Afsaneh is dedicated to ensuring every patient feels at ease and confident in the care they receive, reflecting her personal goal. She deeply values her faith and cherishes the supportive team she has the privilege to work alongside. In her leisure time, Afsaneh enjoys indulging in music and film, taking long walks in nature with her dog, and creating handmade jewelry designs.
Angela Rudnik
Angela graduated in 1996 with her CDA and has been in dentistry ever since. Angela has been working with WestClair Dental since 2016. She loves talking and getting to know her patients. Angela takes pride in her work ethic and willingness to learn everything and anything. In her spare time, she likes to play golf which she recently took up, and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two cats, Dexter and Muskoka.
Victoria Ramroop
Victoria started working at WestClair Dental in April 2017. She has been working as a receptionist in the medical field for over 7 years. She enjoys meeting and engaging with our patients. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her friends and family, loves being outdoors, exercising, and going on vacation.
Kamali Ortal
Ortal started working at WestClair Dental in September 2019, she has been working as a receptionist in TDSB. She is a mother of 3 boys and she loves playing basketball, learning and watching wild nature and has a big love for pets.
Krystal
Krystal is a level 2 dental assistant graduating with honors from Everest College in 2014. She completed her NDAEB in 2015 and has been working with Westclair Dental since 2021. The best part of her day is talking to the patients and helping them with any fear/anxiety that they have about dentistry. She wants everyone to leave with a smile and a good experience. In her free time, she loves listening to health podcasts, going to the movie theatre, trying cuisines at new restaurants, and being with her family.
Lara
Lara graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Toronto College of Dental Hygiene Aux. in 2021. Born in the Philippines and moved to Canada (circa 2011) to have better opportunities. She loves providing quality care to patients and educating them to improve their oral health to be the healthiest they can be. During weekends, she enjoys being with family and friends. She usually goes to church on Sundays, enjoys camping during the summer, and indulges in outdoor activities in winter.
Dr. Mercedeh Vaez
Dr. Mercedeh Vaez received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), from the University of New England in 2019. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Oakland, California and a one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University at Buffalo. After practicing dentistry in California, Dr. Vaez returned to her hometown of Toronto, Ontario with her husband and daughter. Outside of the dental office, Dr. Vaez enjoys exploring the hiking trails of Ontario, travelling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
